Young Chamber is an initiative to bridge the gap between businesses and their future workforce – school students. Young Chamber is aimed at 11-19 year olds. Participating students have the opportunity to work on:
- Enterprising projects
- Start up and operate small businesses
- Attend business events and workshops
- Organise meetings, events and conferences
- Meet real business people to learn about the world of work
- Develop Employability Skills
- Research careers and share knowledge and experiences
This gives students a genuine opportunity to demonstrate their entrepreneurial skills and potentially support real businesses by working on solving real business issues and challenges. We have successfully established Young Chambers within 5 Leicestershire Schools:
- The City of Leicester College
- Casterton Business and Enterprise College
- Lutterworth College
- Rushey Mead School
- English Martyrs' Catholic School
Business Builder Ltd is the Area Manager for Young Chamber in the East Midlands and we are looking to grow the network of schools/colleges involved.
