This short project for Leicester City Council, funded by East Midlands Development Agency was developed to support future employer engagement activity within the city.
The aim of the project was to:
- Develop a brand – a new brand and logo was needed to replace the City Strategy brand that had become so well known in the city.
- Develop Marketing Materials – in order to promote the new brand and the activities of the employer engagement contract within the city
- Research local employers within the city in specific sectors – business, hospitality, health and social care
- Develop questionnaires to establish employer recruitment needs and challenges
- Devise and host employer events in each of the 3 sectors to engage employers with the project and establish a future commitment to participate in a guaranteed interview scheme.
Produce a project report with recommendations.

The project produced the One Skilled Workforce logo under which the current employer engagement and routeway co-ordination teams are operating.
The project has also given an informative insight in to the type of engagement employers are responsive to and what type of activity should be planned for the future.
